Illness and misadventure provisions are available to support students who are unwell or have a valid reason that might prevent them from completing an assessment task or exam.

For students in Years 11 and 12

My child is sick

Complete each of the following steps if your child is unwell for an exam/assessment. This must be done if your child is ill on the day of the task or the day before the task.

  1. Students who are unwell must seek assistance from an independent medical practitioner who must complete this . This must be done either immediately before or after each exam/assessment.
  2. . Click on 'Select files' and choose the completed Illness Form.
  3. Within 24 hours of the exam/assessment, complete and submit the . This form will need to be completed and submitted for each exam/assessment.

Please note for students who are absent the day before a task this includes being absent on a Friday when a task is scheduled on the following Monday.

There has been misadventure

Complete each of the following steps if your child experiences unforeseen misadventure before an exam/assessment. This must be done if there is a misadventure on the day of the task or the day before the task.

  1. A person relevant to the situation (e.g. roadside assistance) must complete this .
  2. . Click on 'Select files' and choose the completed Misadventure Independent Evidence Form.
  3. Within 24 hours of the exam/assessment, complete and submit the . This form will need to be completed and submitted for each exam/assessment.

Please note for students who are absent the day before a task this includes being absent on a Friday when a task is scheduled on the following Monday.

For Students in Years 9 and 10

  3. Within 24 hours of the exam/assessment, complete and submit the . This form will need to be completed and submitted for each exam/assessment.
