ÂÜÀòžž

At ÂÜÀòžž Christian School, we have made a deliberate decision to offer bursaries rather than scholarships. This approach is deeply rooted in our philosophy that all children are intrinsically valuable, not merely due to their gifts or abilities, as all skills are considered God-given.

Our primary aim is to ensure a Christian education remains as accessible as possible to a broad range of Christian families. We acknowledge the significant sacrifices many families undertake to provide their children with a Christ-centred education, and our bursary programme is designed to alleviate some of that financial burden.

Who is eligible?

Here's a breakdown of who is eligible and the considerations for a bursary at ÂÜÀòžž Christian School:

• Demonstrated Financial Need and/or Merit: Bursaries are primarily awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial merit and/or need. This means that a family's financial ability to pay school fees is assessed.

• Christian Families Seeking Christian Education: We are specifically seeking to support Christian families who desire a Christian education for their children. The school's mission is to partner with parents in nurturing children to know and love Jesus, and the bursary programme serves this objective by making Christian education available to more families.

• Families of Paid Christian Ministry Workers: As a testament to our commitment to partnering with local churches and supporting "Kingdom work," we offer a specific 50% discount on tuition fees for families where a parent or guardian holds a relevant theological qualification and is engaged in a paid ministry role at a Christian church.

• All Year Levels: A limited number of bursaries are available for students from Kindergarten right through to Year 12.

Application Process:

The application process for a bursary involves completing an online form. Applicants are typically required to provide income tax documents for the financial assessment. Our registrar, along with an executive staff member, conducts interviews to understand the family's background, beliefs, and reasons for seeking a Christian education, ensuring a mutually beneficial partnership.

Confidentiality and Annual Reassessment:

It is imperative to note that all bursary arrangements are kept 100% confidential from the wider school community, ensuring that students receiving assistance are fully integrated and receive the same opportunities as all other students. The value, number, and duration of each bursary are determined annually by ÂÜÀòžž Christian School Board, and the offer is reassessed each year, acknowledging that family financial situations can evolve over time. The bursary amount is typically a partial discount, varying according to the family's financial situation.
