ÂÜÀòžž

At ÂÜÀòžž Christian School, we prioritise offering bursaries over scholarships. This approach stems from our belief that all children are inherently valuable because they are created in God's image, not because of specific gifts or achievements. Our core philosophy is to make a Christ-centred education accessible to as many Christian families as possible, recognising the sacrifices many make for their child's schooling. Bursaries are specifically designed to help cover education-related costs based on financial need.

Here's how we assess financial need:

• Demonstrated Need is Key: Bursaries are awarded primarily on the basis of demonstrated financial merit and/or need. This means that the financial situation of the family is the central factor in our assessment.

• Application Submission: The first step in the process involves parents completing an online application form.

• Required Financial Documents: Along with the application form, we require applicants to provide income tax documents. These documents enable us to collect detailed information about your current income and financial status, which may also include your assets.

• Confidential Assessment Panel: Once the completed application and financial documents are submitted, they are reviewed by our Business Manager. A panel of people then confidentially assesses your family's ability to afford the school fees.

• Personal Discussion: We are keen to foster a partnership with our families. As such, there will be a confidential discussion with the school about your financial situation. This helps us understand your specific circumstances and collaboratively determine how we can best support you.

• "Means Tested" Partial Discount: The amount offered through the bursary is typically a partial discount to the school fees. It is "means tested," meaning the level of discount varies depending on each family's unique financial situation.

• Annual Review by the Board: The final decision regarding the value, number, and duration of each bursary is made by ÂÜÀòžž’s Board on an annual basis. We reassess bursaries yearly because we understand that family financial situations can change over time.

• Confidentiality: All bursary arrangements are kept strictly confidential from the wider school community. This ensures that students receiving bursaries are fully integrated and receive the same opportunities as every other student.

We also have a specific 50% discount on tuition fees for families where a parent or guardian holds a relevant theological qualification and is engaged in a paid ministry role at a Christian church, which highlights our commitment to partnering with local churches and supporting Kingdom work.
